When they tried turning on their PS4, it either won’t simply turn on or would turn off immediately. Sometimes, blue light on their Console keeps flashing or a beeping sound would come off.

This can be frustrating for everyone as it happens out of nowhere! If you had a disk inserted, then you can’t even eject it out as your PS4 won’t even turn on.

Causes because of which your PS4 won’t turn on

There can be multiple reasons because of which, your PS4 won’t turn on. There can be a faulty or loose Socket, faulty Power Cable, low wattage, dust clogged on the device power port or in the worst case there can be a serious glitch or a bug in the software which can be hard to fix.

  • Faulty power strip / Socket: If you have your console plugged into some Power Strip then its recommended to plug it in directly to the wall socket as it the best and the fastest way to Plugin your Console as sometimes the power strip may not provide enough power for your PS4 to turn on.
  • Bad Power Button: Sometimes, its nothing else but your PS4’s Power button which is broken as it’s a touch-sensitive button that is connected to the motherboard with a very delicate piece of metal. So a hard jerk or a drop might misplace the metal part which will break the connection.
  • Faulty Power Supply:  Sometimes, due to power fluctuation, the power supply in your PS4 might go bad which will cause it to not turn on. If nothing from this list is working for you, then this may be the cause of the issue.
