This is a world of online multiplayer gaming now and all of us are pretty interested in it. We love such games as they don’t limit our mutual interaction by limiting the physical feature, especially noticing the current times on the outbreak of a global pandemic. These times require mediums of communication that is limited to virtual contact only.
Due to these online multiplayer games, we can play along with our friends and family without being in physical contact even while being miles apart. The best thing about it is that it makes the experience quite realistic. There are multiple types of these games as well and a lot of such types have brilliantly fascinating games.
The most trending type of online multiplayer games that are appreciated currently by gamers is battle royale games. And out of these, the two games that have the toughest competition going on between them are PUBG, which is short for Player Unknown’s Battle Ground, and Fortnite. This is why we will discuss the major differences between these games that may help you choose which one to play.
I will be listing the details I like about both the games in different columns of the specific game other than listing them side by side due to less similarity in the differences.
Fortnite vs Pubg: Lets See The Difference Between Them
Starting with Fortnite, it is a great online multiplayer game that is completely free and well-optimized in comparison to most battle royale games available out there. It is quite easy to spot enemies in this and the best thing I find about this is that it is a fast-paced game. Its casual gameplay is cutting edge and the introduction of building mechanisms really interests a lot of users in peaking the right skill level. It doesn’t take much time in matching, which means it goes from the lobby to the match in absolutely the least amount of time. But I really can’t get over the fact that building is allowed in this game which simply means that we can put up walls and other structures and that really fascinates me.
The worst thing I felt about this was the fact that we can only play on a third-person perspective cam which is quite limiting and feels like a lack of functionality. The first-person perspective provides a reality towards the game which is lacking due to the lack of this mode. Another more important thing to talk about is its graphics. If you have played Fortnite or have even witnessed someone playing it then you will know what I’m talking about.
The cartoon based graphics don’t support or appeal to the thought patterns of a lot of people and on top of that, there is no character optimization present in the game which limits it to a virtual experience even more. And since maps are the most important thing in any game, the maps in Fortnite are quite smaller than the ones in PUBG.
Since I ended on maps on the dislikes of Fortnite, let us discuss the fact that PUBG has a lot of maps to offer and they are even bigger than that present in Fortnite, except for Sanhok. This means that PUBG provides a lot of options on the map but it also has a bigger playing space for the players. Other than that, what we must always remember is that PUBG provides us with First-person perspective gaming mode as well which makes the gaming experience more immersive.
Another thing that Fortnite couldn’t provide the gamers was realistic graphics and gameplay which is what PUBG thrives in by providing a great experience to all its players and gives out the best results. The characters can be customized which is what impresses me a lot and the introduction to driving in this game is marvelous.
It is poorly optimized as opposed to Fortnite which is what pushes a lot of gamers away as the game buffers in between which isn’t a good sight. Due to its realistic graphics, the ability to spot enemy gets compromised which is sometimes great for a few players but put off a lot of the ones that play it. It has too many campers which annoy a lot as when you have spent the entire game looting and killing and you get to a place where a camper gets you, is not a good sight. On top of that, it’s a slow-paced game which isn’t what most people look forward to.
The greatest difference between the two games that don’t work in PUBG’s favor is the player count. The player count is extremely essential for any game to succeed and since it is quite clear that the PUBG family has already reached its peak, we all know that players drop out of PUBG almost every day. While Fortnite always has a lot of players joining in even today.
I hope I was able to help you out with the differences between the two games and now you know which one to choose. Although they both offer some great perks over each other, PUBG is still losing players while Fortnite is gaining more, is a thing that you must consider.
